Marathon River Swim Series

The series' river marathons: the Charente at Cognac, the Ebro between Tivenys and Tortosa and the Glomma in Norway. Until 2024 the Thames was part of it, and its finishes still count. The crown goes to whoever completes three rivers.

Mediterranean Straits

Four straits between neighbouring lands: Messina between Sicily and Calabria, Bonifacio between Corsica and Sardinia, Gibraltar between Europe and Africa. The fourth is the Bosphorus, between Europe and Asia, where the Mediterranean reaches the Black Sea: it is swum in Istanbul's cross-continental race.
