Cookie policy

Last updated: 6 August 2026 1. WHAT ARE COOKIES AND LOCAL STORAGE Omniathlon uses both session cookies and browser local storage. For GDPR and Italian law we treat both as "cookies" and split them in two categories: strictly necessary, and analytics/marketing (currently inactive). 2. STRICTLY NECESSARY COOKIES / STORAGE (ALWAYS ON) Indispensable for the site to work, no consent required. They are used to: - Store the language you chose. - Keep admin and organizer sessions alive when applicable. - Remember your consent choices and the version of the policy accepted. - Authenticate you during authenticated navigation. None of this data is shared with third parties. It stays on your device until you clear it or log out. 3. THIRD-PARTY COOKIES By default we do NOT embed any third-party widget or script in our pages: accommodation, experience and restaurant content is fetched by OUR servers and rendered directly, so your browser never contacts the partners. Links to partners are plain external links: no cookie is set until you open them; the destination site's own policy applies from there. First exception, activated ONLY by your explicit click: the interactive Stay22 (stay22.com) accommodation map — nothing is loaded until you press the dedicated button; on click the widget may set its own cookies for operation and attribution (see https://stay22.com/privacy). Your choice is stored on your device only. Second exception, on the contact page only and only if you choose to attach an image: the Cloudflare Turnstile anti-bot check (challenges.cloudflare.com), which confirms the form is being sent by a person and not by a script. It is a security measure needed to protect the form from abuse, so it does not require your consent; it does not profile you and is not used for advertising (see https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/). Third exception, in the stream only and only after your explicit click: public Instagram and Facebook (Meta) posts embedded under the races they talk about. Nothing is loaded until you press the dedicated button; on click your browser contacts Meta, which may set its own cookies under its policy (https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy). Your choice is stored on your device only. 4. ANALYTICS AND MARKETING We currently do NOT use any analytics tool (Google Analytics, Plausible or similar) or advertising pixel (Meta, TikTok, Google Ads). These categories are provisioned in the banner but inactive; if we ever add such tools we will bump the policy version and re-open the banner for a fresh consent. 5. HOW TO MANAGE CONSENT - On your first visit a banner appears with three options: Accept all, Necessary only, Customize. - Any time: "Manage cookies" link in the footer. - Full removal: clear the site's storage from your browser settings. - Your choices are stored only on your device and never transmitted to us or anyone else. 6. UPDATES If we change the categories or introduce new third parties that require consent we bump the policy version: on your next visit the banner will re-appear for a fresh consent. 7. CONTROLLER AND CONTACTS Data controller: Ludwig S.r.l.s. — VAT no. IT06332200829 — Registered office: Italy. For any cookie or privacy request please use the contact form linked from the site footer.
