Grêmio Náutico União (GNU) hosts the 1st stage of the 31st Brazilian Interclub Championship (CBI) in Open Water, marking the opening of the national calendar for the sport in 2026. The event, which is part of the club's 120th-anniversary celebrations, will be held at the Belém Novo Golf Club, located in the Terra Ville residential complex in the southern zone of Porto Alegre.
The competition will bring together athletes from various clubs across the country and will also feature races for the 13th Copa Brasil and the 5th Troféu Marcelinha Cunha. The organization highlights the partnership between GNU, the Confederação Brasileira de Desportos Aquáticos (CBDA), the Federação Gaúcha de Desportos Aquáticos (FGDA), and the Comitê Brasileiro de Clubes to ensure an event of high technical quality.
